The lick sleeve was a lifesaver for us when our lab had TPLO surgery. He would not keep the cone on and went through 4 of them and even managed to get at his stitches!
The licksleeve stopped all the stress of the cone and he wasn’t bothered by it.
Very nice material and easy to wash.
Vivien D.
Very good and provided a comfortable covering after operation to repair cruciate ligament rupture.
Sue G.
The lick sleeve has been an absolute god-send. My pup has been comfortable and relaxed since her op 8 days ago wearing the lick sleeve. Also both the surgeon and vet today both commented that this was the best sleeve they’d seen and would consider stocking it at the practice.
Zoe H.
I can’t explain how this has made the past 2 weeks so much easier this time round after surgery than the last time when he got an infection (even with the plastic cone on) and ended up wearing the cone for 4 weeks which then resulted in ear infections from all the heat building up - he’s got big hairy ears. The stitches are almost healed up first time with no infections ie no prolonged stress for him and I! Now just for the bone to heal on the inside :) the price did make me question it due to previously having spent loads of £££ on dog things that haven’t worked but no doubt yourself buying this. Absolutely worth it! Donating it after to a dog charity because everyone with a dog going through TPLO surgery should have access to one!
Fiona M.
This has been the best purchase after my dog getting TPLO surgery. It was quite expensive but for me it was worth it for peace of mind as I was watching her constantly incase she licked her wound. She hated a collar as was stressed with it on. Her wound is healing well and she doesn’t bother with her lick sleeve at all.
Pat S.
We have a puppy, it was important to protect the patient from any possible antics , it works well
John M.
We were very pleased to have found the Licksleeve product when searching the Internet. We found it difficult to stop our dog licking her wound (cruciate operation) and the Licksleeeve proved to be exactly what we needed. It is very easy to put on and causes no discomfort for the dog. Would have been helpful if the vet had told us about Licksleeve before the operation, it would have made the first couple of days after the surgery much easier.I will be recommending to him when our dog goes for her next check up.
Aaron R.
My only regret was not having the day of surgery. Life was so much better after it arrived.
Michael G.
The sleeve was so much easier on my dog than even a soft "Zen Collar" and more effective than an inflatable collar. He's a cocker spaniel and the injury was a rear leg. But your telephone customer service after I made an error in my order deserves the highest praise of all.
Linda H.
Our Golden Retriever had to have her ACL repaired recently. In lieu of the cone around her neck, she wore the lick sleeve. We, including our Golden, couldn't be happier!
Nancy P.
This product is a great idea! Our 4 year old Bichon Friese had a CCL on right rear leg. We alternate between wearing the cone and wearing the lick sleeve.
One suggestion for improvement is the removing the logo on the leg and putting it on the wider wrap around. The logo rubs on her incision and bugs her.
Next improvement is making this more affordable, and not requiring expensive Fed Ex shipping!
Carol C.
My girl had surgery for a torn ACL last week. She wears the kick sleeve at night (we are able to watch her during the day). Her incision looks great! No licking during the night!
Leah K.
The lick sleeve has worked so well for our PWD Snoopy. His cut is finally healing. It washes well too!
Cheryl D.
Our dog had ACL surgery & the lick sleeve is perfect. No cone required thank goodness. She’s comfortable & we couldn’t be happier that we found this great product.
Kate T.
Love the luck sleeve! Had to order next size up as the small didn’t fit even by the measurements. Size medium a little big but did the job! My dog didn’t seem to be bothered by it and was very comfortable with it on! Very well made and no loose ends . Material very soft and the sleeve went on very easily! Thank you Lick sleeve makers! This helped my dog tremendously to be comfortable and calm. Bye bye Elizabethan collar!
Julie C.
Fits well. Easy to use and appears comfortable for her.
Amanda S.
My dog had to get surgery that involved metal plates and screws. I tried the cone but he is already a very anxious dog so he wouldn’t eat or move or anything. I decided to try this out and it was a life saver. He was able to move around with it comfortably and happily. Highly recommend!
Casey A.
I bought the lick sleeve to allow my pup to have a break from the dreaded cone of shame after a PTLO surgery. He is able to use the restroom with no issues and has not been able to get to his stitches. This has been a game changer product for him and for me. I ordered the product late in the evening and requested overnight shipping and miraculously it arrived the next day.
ZACHARY B.
Our 13 yr old, female German Shepherd just had TPLO. She previously had a cone for abdominal surgery, so we ordered a Licksleeve as an alternate. Our Surgeon was a bit skeptical. It worked perfectly. While she is not a "licker," she could rest in comfort without an E-Collar, and we could sleep knowing she could not get to the incision site. Very easy to hand wash and dry on low for 10 minutes for a refresh. It's great that it is reversible to the other leg, as we are probably going to face this again for the other side. 100% recommended.
Rebecca H.
We used this on or dog that had a TPLO surgery anytime we were home to relieve him of having to wear a cone. It worked perfect and I’m so glad I found this product. We have used it for 2 weeks now and it has not stretched out or had any flaws at all.
Debi B.
It was recommended by a friend whose dog loved it. Quality was excellent!
Taylor C.
This sleeve was absolutely incredible and made my pups healing process go smoothly. It was comfortable for her to wear and didn't throw a fit, which she usually does when I put anything on her! Her incision looked incredible was kept dry. With having other pets in the home this was something that lessened the stress and worry of the incision getting dirty or contaminated. Also, the customer service is PHENOMIAL. My pup got bored one day and did everything possible to chew her sleeve off and managed to get the buckle but when I contacted customer service and explained what happened, they replaced my sleeve and did so quickly! Incredibly thankful for that as I was definitely worried about the next few weeks without it. Can't recommend this product enough! Worth every penny.
Danielle I.
After my dog’s surgery the sleeve was a lifesaver, I didn’t have to worry about the incision touching the floor when he was lay on that side and it also saved him from having to use the cone. The XL fit him well, he weighs 88Pounds.
Toni T.
I love the simplicity of the LickSleeve. I wish the sleeve was waterproof so when my dog licked, it would not soak the entire sleeve. The design is awesome and my dog had no trouble keeping it on. I did not use a cone collar after her surgery, but only the LickSleeve.
Christy A.
Came up with a different way to wrap it since the way on your video kept slipping off… worked great
Nancy W.
This is my dogs second TPLO surgery and what a difference with the Lick Sleeve! She wore a cone for the first one and was miserable. With the Lick Sleeve, she can eat, drink, sleep and recuperate more comfortably. I’m so glad I found Lick Sleeve this time around. It’s made her recovery easier for both of us!
Brittany F.
My dog got a TPLO on her left hind leg and will need to get the other one done soon as well. I LOVE that it is reversible and well labeled. It is a really nice material and easy to use. It is so much more comfortable for my dog than the dreaded cone of shame.
Kristine S.
Emma and I both love her Lick Sleeve. It was the single best purchase I made for her prior to her undergoing TPLO surgery. She hasn't needed her e-collar once. In fact I'm planning to return the one that I purchased. I couldn't be more pleased! The sleeve is protective, breathable, and appears to be very comfortable to her as she's made no attempt to remove it. It has been easily washed and, while the instructions say to air dry it, was easily dried on extra low in my drier with no shrinkage. My only wish is that that product would be slightly less expensive. Had it been, I would have purchased two, but all the same I would buy this product again without question and will happily tell anyone else about it if they have a need.
COURTNEY W.
The price is steep but well worth it. It’s been such a breeze putting on and taking off instead of having to use the cone. It keeps the dirt out but still allows the stitches to breathe. Highly recommend ordering one if your pup has any kind of leg injury. My favorite part is it can be used for either leg so when we need surgery on the other leg we won’t have to purchase a new one.
BARBARA R.
This sleeve worked better than three others I’ve tried. Maggie is a basset hound so fitting will always be a challenge. She had to still wear the cone of shame, because her loooong body could bend so efficiently. But this protected the open wound well!
Bonnie K.
Absolutely the best product ever!!
Steve C.
Life Saver! This ingenious sleeve kept us from having to use the cone-of-shame on our pup. As a young dog he had to have surgery on two occasions and the cone created issues and so much anxiety for both he and us, that it makes it difficult to manage. With this, we were able to keep him calmer, more comfortable, and in a better healing space after his TPLO.
Highly recommended to friends and family who have had the same surgery planned.
Diane V.
My dog had ACL surgery a week ago. The lick sleeve she used was great for taking her mind off her sutures and, most importantly, to prevent infection in the area. It didn’t seem to bother her at all. It’s easy to get on and off. We got an XL for her which is probably a little big for a 90 lb. Husky/Malamute, but she’s a little too big for a large. All in all, great invention and works like it should!
MICHAEL A.
Have not used it yet but it arrived on time, fits, and appears to be well made
Anna V.
This lick sleeve was amazing after my 14 yr old had surgery on her leg. Not only did it prevent her from getting to her sutures, it also prevented my other dogs from licking at it, which they are notorious for doing. Her surgery site was healed in 14 days without the need for an e-collar. Money well spent!
Nancy A.
Great concept protection of sutures Only draw back after 1st washing doesn’t fit the same. Top part appears to be stretched out need to keep adjusting it throughout the day. Machine washed on gentle cycle air dryer as I strucions said
Larissa S.
Our pup is very stubborn and a few years ago she had stitches on one of her back legs. It was a nightmare keeping her from messing with it so for her TPLO surgery we definitely wanted something that would be easier for us and her. The sleeve stayed on really well and, apart from her stubbornness and unwillingness to stay still, it was east to put on. Love that it is also reversible so we can use it should it be needed in the future. Definitely recommend.
Rick S.
My Labrador Retriever was recovering from TPLO surgery and initially wore the cone of shame. She was getting a little frustrated scraping it on walls and my legs (ouch) before I thought I'd give the LickSleeve a try. She was so happy with this option, not having to wear the cone of shame. Best of all, she left it alone and didn't try to pull it or rip it off. I would recommend it for other dogs owners as an alternative to the cone of shame.
Rick
Sue A.
Great alternative to the cone of shame!
Lindsay D.
This is a much better solution than a cone. It really doesn’t bother our lab to wear it and lets her move freely. She is recovering from CCL surgery with a big incision on the inside of her leg, and this has kept it dry and clean. Sometimes if its too loose the strap will slide over her tail and the lick sleeve will fall off. If I check it every hour or so and tighten it, this typically solves the problem.
Karla C.
This is a life saver for us. She is so much more comfortable than wearing a big E collar. I bought two so always had a clean one but they fit her so well that dirt was not a problem. She tolerated it well.
Lee B.
Our dog doesn't seem to mind wearing it and it does help but she has figured how to get it off when we are not looking. Like overnight or if we are gone.
Michelle O.
It worked great! Our dog never needed the dreaded cone after coming home from surgery. The sleeve was easy to put on and take off. Highly recommend.
Stephanie S.
Worked perfectly! Would also love if it could work on the front legs too!
Thomas A.
Holly had a TPLO and we knew we didn’t want to deal with the cone of shame. Our surgeon recommended the LickSleeve, and suggested a large. We went with the weight chart on ordering and got an XL, but should have listened to the surgeon as the XL tended to droop a bit. Nevertheless, with some creative adjustments we snugged the sleeve up and it has been marvelous. Holly is comfortable and her incision has remained clean, lick and bite-free. I highly recommend this product, especially for larger dogs faced with enormous cones of shame.
Wendy W.
Our 110lb labradoodle had TPLO surgery. He is notorious for being a pain with stitches so we were on the hunt for something that would prevent him from having to wear a cone 24/7. We still used used the cone at night but during the day the lick sleeve was all he needed to leave it alone. Highly recommend, 10 stars!!
Mary Y.
This is the BEST!!!!!!
I hate putting those collars on animals they are so uncomfortable this allows your pets to recuperate in comfort….❤️❤️❤️
Levin S.
Really did like the Lick Sleeve. It worked very well for us and our boy.
If your dog is having CCL surgery this is a must have. Well made and slips on with ease. It's easily reversible, left or right.
Highly recommend.
Elizabeth V.
Excellent product and even better customer service! Our GSD had surgery and had to wear the cone of shame. But Buddy has figured out how to shatter those cones. So our daughter, veterinarian, suggested the lick sleeve. The sleeve came quickly but I couldn’t get it over his foot and thought it was to small. So called customer service and the gentleman on the phone was very kind, understanding, and helpful. He gave me a quick tip on a small modification to the sleeve BUT also overnighted the next size up so that Buddy would be comfortable as soon as possible. Good customer service is not as easy to come by and Lick Sleeve definitely delivered! Thank you!!!
Michelle D.
Sasha had a TPLO Surgery and this lick sleeve that the Orthopedic Dr. put on her after surgery was a life saver
Susan R.
Our bulldog recently had TPLO Surgery, and our Vet recommended we purchase a Lick Sleeve. The Lick Sleeve Company (Henry) helped us figure out what size would be best for our odd-shaped dog. The Lick Sleeve works amazing, and the fabric is soft. This is our third day into the healing process and we highly recommend this product, to help keep your dog from licking their wound.
Andrea K.
It worked! After our dogs leg surgery, we battled keeping her from removing her bandages as well as a staples. This extended her recovery at least by 2 to 3 weeks because her wound kept reopening. Finally we found lick sleeve! And as a last resort we bought it and it worked!. She treated the left sleeve like it was another one of her shirts or or scarves and she simply forgot that it was on. After two weeks of wearing the sleeve her surgery wound finally had an opportunity to heal we were very pleased with this product.
James I. M.
Very much pleased with the sleeve, aided tremendously to the healing of the surgery by protecting the incision. Would highly recommend it to friends.
Allison D.
Life changing! Our dog destroyed her e-collar within 1 day. We got the Lick Sleeve and she didn’t mind it all! Was able to keep on for the vet recommended 2 weeks without a single problem. Without the Lick Sleeve it would have been a very long 2 weeks for both us and our dog. She is 100lbs and we orderd the XL
Debra S.
It was not a problem for our Chocolate Lab to wear. Great item!
Kim M.
Wish I didn't listen to the vet and used this sooner in the recovery stage. Would had healed much sooner.
Julie P.
The LickSleeve has been a life saver for our Annie after her TPLO. She has been so much more comfortable (as you can see) without the cone! Thank You!
Patty S.
This sleeve saved our dogs leg! She had a cancerous tumor removed from her back leg. She tore the sutures out twice even tho she had the cone on her head. The Vet decided to let it heal without sewing it back up. She was not allowed to lick it. We searched online to find something to keep her from licking it and we found the lick sleeve! It has been a blessing for us!
Erica R.
This Lick Sleeve was a LIFE SAVER!!!!!! There is no way our crazy girl would have tolerated a donut or cone for 4 weeks, and this was the PERFECT solution! Took all the worry away! Now 8 weeks post op we are almost back to normal, and she was comfortable and most importantly infection free post TPLO!
Louise C.
The sleeve did not work for us. Alaska had a hip replacement and the incision was very high so the sleeve did not cover it. However, a gold star to the company for their customer service. Henry helped me with the sizing before I ordered and offered free overnight shipping if I needed to exchange the size. When I showed him pictures of why it didn’t work for us he immediately sent us a postage paid return and issued a refund.
The fabric was great. Snug but not tight. I had to cut the bottom off to get it over Alaska’s double dew claws and it did not fray. The waste band was very secure and comfortable with a nice stretch. All in all an A+ product with great customer service*****
Miranda F.
I ordered a size large for my 85lb Alaskan Malamute following her ACL surgery. After 2 days of wearing the cone of shame (and running into absolutely everything including doors, her water bowl and our newborns bassinet) I knew we needed to give the licksleeve a try. I ordered with overnight shipping and it did arrive the next day. It is SO easy to put on and our girl was so much more comfortable, was able to relax and eat/drink as normal. It kept her incision well protected. Everyone at the vet office loved her sleeve. Our vet said she is high risk for the same injury to her other leg in the future so we will hang on to the sleeve just in case as it is reversible to be used for left or right leg (hopefully we will never need it again!). I am so thankful to have found this product to make the recovery process a little easier on our dog and us!
Andrea K.
Exceeded expectations. This is the only thing that kept our puppy from pulling out her staples and bandages. Thank you!!
Hollis H.
We had her wear the lick sleeve three times before her surgery so she would be used to it. After surgery she’s worn it 24/7 with no problems at all. It keeps her incision clean and she doesn’t even try to lick it. We couldn’t be happier. Highly recommend this.
Cornelia M.
This lick sleeve has made my dog's life so much better at the moment. Since it fits so well and secure, she does not have to wear a e-collar and that is huge!
David H.
Lovey had many issues wearing a cone in the past. The Lick Sleeve has been wonderful - it fits comfortably on her and she doesn’t try to tear it off. There have been zero post-surgical complications, and the Lick Sleeve has been well worth the money.
Linda L.
Our seven-year-old female German Shepherd had her second TPLO surgery this winter. Her left leg last year went very well, and we were able to keep her from licking her incision with the traditional extra-large cone collar. This second surgery on her right leg has not gone as well. She has tried continually to lick the wound open. During her operation healing stage, we had to use a double collar (traditional plastic and inflatable ring) just to keep her from licking her leg. Just as the wound was healing, she started back licking the incision place again. I was beside myself to know how to keep her from licking her would open again and a possible operation to take out the metal plate. I began to search the net for some kind of a "sock" that would go on her leg to cover the wound and give it a chance to heal. I found such sleeves for the front legs easily enough but none for the back legs. That is until I found the Lick Sleeve. IT IS FANTASTIC AND IS WORKING! Her wound is beginning to heal. She still tries to lick the right leg sore, but the fabric keeps the wound from getting wet. The price of the sleeve is certainly a lot cheaper than a third operation. In fact, we now have two sleeves - one to wear and one to wash.
Tina S.
We have been very pleased in using the lick sleeve for our lab Honey. I had ordered the wrong size and they were very accommodating to send me the correct size the very next day. I highly recommend this product.
Wendy G.
This is a great way to give my dog a break from the dreaded cone! I could only use this if I was home as she could get it off if she wanted to, so I would use the cone for night and when I left the house, but gave her a great break at other times.
Ron B.
Customer service was outstanding, I ordered the wrong size and they very promptly sent the medium overnight. They covered costs. I will be making a donation to my local animal shelter in the name of the lick sleeve. As for the product you won’t go wrong. It works great. My dog doesn’t mind wearing it and is far better than the e collar. I would buy again in a heartbeat. Great product, my dog is healing nicely. Five stars for this product.
Susan D.
This was the best investment ! Marcie our Golden had ACL surgery and wearing the cone interfered with daily routine . With her sleeve she could get toys out of her toy box , sit on the porch , get a drink of water , have her snack , etc vs the cone which has these restrictions . The sleeve washed well and kept her incision clean. Very light and comfortable . Marcie felt more comfortable and moved around freely . Her recent Vet and staff saw her sleeve in and were very impressed with it . We all felt as well how easy it is to take on and off . The sleeve is so useful for daily living while recovering and a peace of mind and a dog that wasn’t depressed and eating again , sleeping well , drinking water , and playing .
James R.
Worked perfectly for a client. So easy to apply to leg.
James R.
Haven't had to use the Large size yet here at the clinic however we do at least 6-8 Orthopedic Surgeries a week so I suspect we will be using for a patient soon
Jann W.
Lick Sleeve is a great alternative to a cone follow my pets ACL surgery.
KELLY P.
This was exactly what we needed for our dog after knee surgery. It stayed on and she could not get to the wound. I would highly recommend.
Elizabeth S.
Kellie would not leave her surgical site alone. But with the sleeve and a cone we were able to get the surgery site healed and the physical therapists are delighted.
Ashley F.
The Lick Sleeve made Bailey’s TPLO recovery 100% easier. I was confident that my pup was comfortable but still unable to get to/lick her incision area. I’m so grateful this product was recommended to me. Shipping was extremely quick and arrived “come home day” post surgery. Thank you so much Lick Sleeve!
Kelsey R.
This has seriously been a dream for my dog's TPLO recovery. We only have to put her cone on when we leave the house as an extra precaution. It fits perfectly and stays on *almost* all the time. There was a night she tossed and turned a lot and it slowly slipped off, we probably could have gotten away with a medium to prevent this.
Stephanie R.
We love the LickSleeve! We’ve used it twice for our one dog’s TPLO surgery for both back legs. It’s so much easier and more comfortable for the dog than the traditional cones and neck donuts. It allowed our dog the comfort of sleeping, eating, and drinking without the obstruction of a cone. It also saved us from the constant jabbing of the cone into our legs from our dog ramming into us and everything. 10/10 recommend for anyone looking for an alternative.
Cindy S.
My fur baby broke his leg and had to have surgery. He was in pain and then I was told he had to wear “the collar”. He was miserable!! The vet told me about your product. While he was still in pain, he was able to eat and drink and not be confined with the collar. It is an awesome product.
Paula S.
Was very impressed how the company worked with when i had a issue it was resolved very quickly.
Billy G.
Better alternative than using a cone after ACL surgery. The sleeve prevented my dog from licking her incision, kept it clean and no infection.
Lynn R.
The people at Lick Sleeve gave me great customer service, sending a different size overnight when needed. Unfortunately, it didn't work on my dog because of his body shape. He has a rounded back/rump, and the wrap portion just kept sliding off whenever he sat down. But please don't let my unfortunate experience prevent you from letting your dog escape the dreaded "come of shame". Try it, and hopefully it will work for you.
Stacey H.
My four year old Golden Retriever just had the first of two knee surgeries to repair CCL injuries. Knowing the traditional e-collar would cause her anxiety, I looked for an alternative because she began trying to lick the suture area within 2 days of surgery and I was fearful of infection. The amount of favorable reviews for Lick Sleeve quickly sold me, and the sleeve has given me peace of mind and seems to be quite comfortable for her. She was apprehensive initially, but quickly adapted and seems quite comfortable and content. The product lives up to the description and seems true to size. She is 70 lbs and Size L fits well. So thankful to have found this product - it is worth the cost. Added benefit, it was delivered in two days. Thank you, Lick Sleeve for making a difficult time so much easier to manage both for owners and pups alike.
John D.
Worked perfect for our Malamute after TPLO.
Jeanna T.
This sleeve was a life saver. Luckily the shipping was incredibly fast and we only had to do 1 night with the e-collar. My girl was miserable with that collar.
Lexie T.
Lick sleeve is AMAZING. We have a husky who’s way to smart for his own good & got around the donut, the cone and a bunch of sedatives to lick his incision. Our vet recommended lick sleeve and it’s been a non-issue ever since. I was super worried about infection from him licking at it & I really don’t think he’d be recovering as well as he is without his lick sleeve
Renee B.
Best purchase, better than using the cone !
Debbie R.
Best product ever for my golden retriever’s TPLO surgery! She was so comfortable! Say goodbye to those uncomfortable cones and buy this!
Terry H.
This is Maggie May who kept licking her back foot ,we tried cone of shame, blow up cone, soft cone and pool noodles cut into sections. Nothing worked until we ordered Lick sleeve .it really works.
Theresa C.
I have to tell you what a lifesaver this was with my dog Loki. On July 4 he injured himself while playing in the yard. He had a big gash on his right back leg. We took him into the hospital and he had to have surgery and they put stitches in his leg. Needless to say the dreaded cone , was placed on his head. Loki is a champ surgery didn’t bother him getting injured and part of him wearing that cone was true torture for my dog. The car is very awkward big cumbersome just saying it’s so much more trouble my love he couldn’t reach the water dish couldn’t feed himself it was horrible. I went on Amazon and I ordered a pillow the round thing that goes around. Did it work is Logan’s legs are too long and he was able to scratch at his incision hence back to the doctor back on the anesthesia my stitches. We all can live with a car being back on his head and I happened upon this wonderful lick sleeve. I cannot begin to tell you all stress was removed from this household. Loki was himself again he was able to eat drink by himself walk around. And when he did lick his wound he was licking the lick sleeve. Absolutely machine washable dries in a second this thing is a miracle I recommend this to everyone do not hesitate get it it works this is the best invention ever deceived us you have no idea. And I do think the inventor of this wonderful let’s leave and I think you guys. And another note really quick I have to take the customer service I think his name is Mr. Perdomo he was wonderful to me and he helps me with my order and to actually get it overnight and thank you so much.

The Lick Sleeve is a GAME CHANGER!! Our girl, Molly, had TPLO surgery a week ago. We were dreading the idea of having to keep her in an Elizabethan collar for such an extended recovery time. We rejoiced when I found the Lick Sleeve and when we gave it to the vet tech to put it on Molly for the return home, the tech was completely enthralled by it, too. It's easy to put on and take off of her, it's clearly very comfortable for Molly to wear and spend hours in, and it gives us the needed peace of mind that she isn't licking at her staples or trying to pull at them. There's no awkward attempts at navigating the house, bashing into everything and there's no difficulty trying to get comfortable while wearing a cone. I could not more highly recommend this product!!
Teresa Q.
Best invention ever! This is the BEST alternative to a cone for healing, especially for a longer recovery time. We're on the 3rd week post-op for a TPLO plate removal and the Lick Sleeve has been instrumental in healing the incision. I ended up ordering a second one so I could alternate them while one was being washed/drying. We didn't know about it for the TPLO surgery and that made recovery that much harder than this time around. Every vet should offer this to any client having this type of surgery! Our vet has seen how much of a difference this makes and is planning on providing this information to their clients in the future. They are also considering keeping a couple of these in stock so they can offer them to clients as they need them.
Adrienne B.
This was exactly what we needed to help our girl recover from TPLO surgery. Reduced her time wearing a cone an protected her shaved leg from licking but also from rubbing on the carpet etc.
great product. Fit well… the XL on our 115lb Pyrenees. We are happy.
Cecilia S.
I didn't use the sleeve as my baby didn't need surgery after all, however, the customer service was remarkable assisting with my return and refund. This will be my go to if needed and I will recommend to everyone for peace of mind versus using the cone of shame. Thank you lick sleeve for engineering this product!
Tracy G.
We are very happy to have ordered the Lick Sleeve for our dog Ruby. She had TPLO surgery and we knew a cone would not work for her. So far it's been great. I will say that it putting it on the left leg wasn't as intuitive as the right, but we managed!
Kristen R.
The lick sleeve is a total mental lifesaver for my sensitive yellow lab. He just had TTA surgery and I knew the cone would cause him extra stress so I did a ton of research on how to provide him with the best tools for a successful recovery. The lick sleeve came highly recommended during my research and went a ahead and purchased it. My dog has not once tried to go after his incision while it’s on him. It’s easy to put on and I’m confident that he’s comfortable wearing it, it’s soft and has enough stretch without falling off. I purchased the large and it fits my 72lb boy perfect. I do have to roll the bottom up a tad, but the fit is prefect otherwise.
Karen W.
This was a life-saver for my pup who went through TPLO surgery. She wore the sleve for first two weeks. Although she did lick it at times it was only wet on the outside not where it touched her skin. The only thing that was a problem was when i put it on her right leg it did not fit correctly so i tuned it inside out and it fit perfect. I think it was labled incorrectly. Great product well made, and well worth the money!
Amy P.
My sweet boy had a much easier recovery by using the lick sleeve.
Allison A.
Our 2 year old dog was injured while roughhousing and blew out both knees. She had one surgery already and will have the other when she has recovered sufficiently. When a dog is already miserable and in pain, why subject them to the cone of shame on top of that, adding insult to injury. That would be fine if there wasn't another option...so I bought an inflateable collar that would prevent licking the wound...except it was not very useful, she figured out how to maneuver around it!
Then I found the Lick Sleeve online. It is fantastic! She wears it comfortably as it is super soft. She licks it but moisture doesnt go through! She can eat and drink without crashing into everything. The way I see it, she is already in pain and can't go run around and do much of anything right now, why not make it a bit more bearable? The sleeve is reversible, so I will be able to use it again for the next surgery.
Thanks for a really great product!
